The first chakra or root chakra is located at the base of the spine. The corresponding body locations are the perineum, along the first three vertebrae, at the pelvic plexus.
When the root chakra is weak:
Overweight, bowel issues, hemorrhoids, sciatica, lower back pain, leg, knee or feet problems, bone disorders, irrational fear, inability to focus, lack of confidence, always needing permission, mistrust, feeling ungrounded, flighty.
When the root chakra is hyperactive:
Recklessness, addiction, belligerence, aggression, impulsiveness, unhealthy dependence on others.
When the root chakra is balanced:
Feel safe, be assured, act with confidence, feel secure.
